heater core replacement

I have a '99 MC LS w/ 3100 I believe the heater core has gone bad. I am experiencing a very light fog coming out of the vents(not dust). I don't notice a coolant smell like I thought I would. Does dexcool not smell as strong as regular antifreeze? Are these difficult to change on this car? It was suggested that I may have to also do theA/C at the same time. If I take it in and have it done what should I expect to pay(price range) I am trying to watch the coolant level. This has only started to happen in the last week.

Well I believe I have my issue resolved. Snooped around and saw the How TO in the 5th gen section relating to A/C evaporator drain clogging by Vandy and I was amazed at how much water came out. Drove it a couple of short trips over the weekend and my regular trip to work today and the fog is gone the sloshing is gone and no passenger side wet spot on the carpet. So kudos for the pics and it was an easy fix.
