headlight aiming
Whats the correct way to aim the headlights? I just replace the whole assy on both sides and the aiming is off. I know where the adjustments are made just dont know the correct settings.

It's really hard to say, I usually try to find a level ground with trees in front and do the aiming at night so it's not too high.
I also aim the driver's side light a touch lower for oncoming traffic. |
find a deserted dark parking lot, use a thick towel to cover the new side, see where old side is, now cover old one and adjust. swap towel back and forth to compare.

I worked at a Chevrolet dealership for a summer job years back, we had professional equipment to adjust headlamps and still people were not satisified with the results. Like ChiBi says it's not so hard, kind of a personal preference thing. Here is a link to a Popular Mechanics article on the technical way to adjust your headlamps. Good luck.. :)

I find a garage door on flat ground at night. Aim the passenger side dead center of the second fold from the bottom. Then the drivers side centered about 2" bellow that. Sit the car about 15' from the garage door!

I am trying to figure out how to adjust the headlights side to side…. I have them adjusted up and down but I see no screw set to adjust them right and left… am I not seeing it or is there no way to adjust horizontal?
