i have been searching the sight and could not find any write-ups on weather the 3800 would easily replace the 3400. if this subject has been covered then please give me the url. i have been dealing with chevys all my life but this is the first time i am venturing into something that does not invove a small block. by the way the reason i am asking is because i am getting a 2000 MC with a 3400 that is badged as a SS but is actually a LS. the car has recently had the engine replaced but the current owner(a dealer) does not know why the seems to be in good shape but i would really like to have the 3800.
