Default Got A Slew Of Problems Guys. Need Some Help.

I posted this in the thread about hearing water somewhere in the car when the person gives it gas, but that thread seems to be solved, so I'm figuring I won't get too much help, so I'm making a new thread.

Ok guys, I have read the thread, and seem to have two issues, but I don't know if they're related.

I also have the sloshing water sound as well. I noticed it yesterday again (it WAS raining, don't know if this is related.) I didn't drive it much today, and didn't notice the sloshing sound, but I WAS listening to music, so that may have just drowned it out. I read about the coolant, and I DID just have A/C coolant added. However, my mechanic added some dye to see if the A/C was leaking, which would have been a reason the AC wasn't pumping out cold air. He said it was not, however.

Anyway, when I got home a little while ago, I reached down to the rear passenger floor, to grab something, and the carpet was soaked. I sopped up the majority with about 15 different towels, and am leaving the passenger side window about 20% down, but I only want to leave it like that for probably another half hour, because I don't live in the most crime-free city.

Again, I don't know if these two are related, but I read in this thread about possible flooding in the interior, and the sloshing sound / coolant, so I'm trying to make a connection.

On top of this, I think the seals on my doors are on there way out, cuz I got a little water near the top of my drivers side door yesterday when it was raining. Also, the power window on the passenger side will only roll the window down, I have to roll it up from my side.

I'd appreciate any help you guys could give. I just bought the car two months ago, and seem like I'm running into all these problems.

PS - Don't think it matters, but it's a 2003 SS.

Thanks

Buy yourself a cabin air filter and replace it.

Make sure the weather stripping in the cowl is properly put on.

Does the water in the floor smell or taste like anti-freeze? Now dont go drinking the crap lol, it just takes a drop to tell if its anti-freeze. That stuff is sweet, thats why pets love it and we gotto keep it put up. If its anti-freeze you probly have a heater core problem. If you think its rain water getting in, have somebody spray the outside with you inside. Soapy water and a air hose may work for that as well.
The other day I was puttin new brake lines on a chrysler sebring, and while riding with the customer I noticed she had water sloshing around in her car somewhere. The shop where she use to go told her it was not a big deal but to her it was as it did get on her nerves having to here it all the time. She told me not to worry bout it so I did on accident.
While laying under the car I was getting annoyed by a drip of water that just kept on. I grabbed up the air hose and started blowing the water off the bottom of the car with hopes of drying it. Instead I got four, half inch in diameter streams of water pouring down on top of me. It took about 2 seconds and a complete change of cloths to fix a problem the other shop couldnt or didnt want to find. As it turns out, the only problem was crud build up in the drain holes of the rocker panels.
Its possible you dont have that problem, however its worth the effort to make sure your car is as clean as possible. "Its the parts people dont rinse that rust".
Good luck on your issues, I hope you get all the bugs worked out.

Chibi's answer is probably right if you're getting water in the car near the dash. I had the same issue, my filter was just moved out of place and I was getting water on my passenger's side.

I do think the sloshing sound sounds like it is coming from the passenger side dash. I'll have to try to listen when i'm drivin home from work tonight? But would this cause the water in just the passenger side rear of the car? The carpet up front is dry.

Didn't notice that it was the rear of the car (though couldn't hurt to change that air filter, it probably has never been done)

You'll have to start looking for leaks if water is getting your floor. Do you have a sunroof?

Yes I do have a sunroof.
Where would you recommend checking for leaks? I'm pretty mechanically illiterate when it comes to cars as you can probably tell. This is only my second car, and with my other being a 97 Camry, I never really cared enough about it to learn the in's and out's.

Hey guys check out this link:
http://www.grandprixforums.net/f73/w...-fix-6961.html

Believe it or not the part (part number listed) is only about $3 from your local stealership. I ordered mine but haven't put it in yet. It may be your problem.
