glove box door
 

I need to get behind the glove box door to install an MP3 player adapter in my son's '97, but I can't figure out how to drop the door down out of the way. I've poked around the internet and this forum but haven't come up with anything yet. Can someone explain to me how to do it? Or point to somewhere where I can find out how?

My best point of reference for diagrams in the case of my Monte is the dealer itself (they will print out any diagram I need free of charge) ..... Iam not too familar with a 97 Monte

I believe there is a long spring loaded hinge in the back of the door that holds the door on. If I remember right, it's pretty difficult to get to. I remember trying to take it out to run some wire behind there, and it ended up being easier to just run it from underneath the dash.
