Chugging below 2000 rpm and stalling.
 

I've been having issues with my 2001 monte Carlo ss. As it says in the title, my car has issues with chugging at anything below 2000 rpm and at times will stall while driving. Doesn't matter if I've been driving for a while or not, it still stalls. Sometimes it feels like the car is going to stall but it doesn't. I've already had my catalytic converter replaced, I've clean my MAF, and checked the vacuum lines. I've looked at quite a few threads about this issue. I've also read that it could be the oxygen sensor in bank 1 or bank 2. I was curious to what else may cause this issue and if anyone has had this same issue that has since fixed it. Thanks!

these are some target areas that might help
failing fuel pressure regulator personally this happened to me and went away when i fixed, even though you may clean the MAF it still might not be enough, try to run the car with it unplugged if it runs fine then there is your problem, replace with ac delco only. o2 sensors they ususally might make you think its your maf but only the one before the cat will affect how the engine runs also replace with ac delco replacement. hopefully this gives better insight on things

Check your mass air sensor, push down on it with the car running and see if it changes the way your engine is running, could be a bad diaphragm. When is the last time you replaced your PCV valve too?

Owens- thank u for all of ur input and suggestions. I will be looking into that more on Saturday. I plan on replacing my upstream and downstream O2 sensors.

Zippy- I really don't know too much about that PCV valve. So I suppose it would be a good idea to replace it huh?

It maybe a likely culprit like the TPS (Throttle position sensor)
With the changing temps out doors... it could be dirty enough to not return to the correct position thus causing some chugging and stalling.

Remove it...clean it with some brake cleen... removing the old grease and grime... and then re lube with some lite grease.. that just may resolve your issue...

But I would also consider the MAF as well..
This could be the beginning signs of it failing...

Does it currently have an AC Delco MAF? or some other brand?

If its an "off" brand...Than Id say that's also the problem.:thumbsup:
