How do I shut off the change oil light

Turn key to on position and Turn radio off. Hold display button till settings apear. Use the seek button until oil life is displayed. Then press the #2 setting button when its says "reset" press the #2 button again.

I didn't see what year his Monte was. With my 99 you just turn the key to "on", do not start. Push the accelerator to the floor 3 times within 5 (?) seconds. The change oil light should flash telling you it is resetting.

That should also work on all of them. This is the digital way, that's the analogue way.

My '99 is just new enough to have what I want (airbags, ABS) and just old enough to NOT have what I don't want! (tire pressure sensors, etc)
