Default A/C Problem

I have a 2007 Monte Carlo SS and I have an A/C issue. When I turn the air off, it makes this clicking sound but it I put it on recirculate, the noise goes away, it also does it when I turn the car off for a minute or two. The air is not blowing cold at all but you can hear the compressor and clutch engage. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like a broken HVAC actuator - super common issue. There's one for inside vs outside air, and one for each temperature zone (driver / passenger). If the one for the temperature is broken, it could be stuck on a warmer air setting.
