Just replaced the resistor today. Those back screws are a complete nightmare to get at. Definitely need a swivel socket or adapter to make it somewhat easier.

Default I can't figure out those screws either for the "module" type resistor...

twfurst, were you able to figure out what kind of screw it is?

the bolt on the right is hardest to get to, you will have to cut some of the liner and padding to make it easier since its super close to the firewall with very little room to work with. i also had to break some of the plastic around the pins as you can see, that made it so much easier to get to the screw. on the new one you can see they changed the layout a little to have more room on the the screw to the right. you only have to remove the front screw and loosen the 2 back ones, after that the piece can slide out and just replace it with your new one

hope this helps someone, not trying to hijack the thread or anything

Damn lol

Very helpful..........Thank you.

Default Here is an image of the blower motor resistor/module for 2004-2005 Monte Carlo

2004 Monte Carlo blower motor resister
I have yet to figure out how to remove the resistor for my 2004 Monte Carlo. Many of you are posting resistors for 2000-2003 Monte Carlos, but they are not the same.

the 2004 Monte Carlo resistor is held together by 2 rivets or plastic tabs. I’m not sure what tool you would use to remove it.

i have attached a picture of it. Any suggestions or ideas would be helpful. Thanks in advance.
