BCM replaced twice both will not do relearn passlock III
 

Hi guys and gals i'm new here and im hoping someone will be able to help me. My original BCM in my 2001 monte carlo ss went "bad" light functions door locks etc would not work, so i bought a reman ready to go bcm just do a passlock III relearn from cardone. I'v done the relearn procedure both the 30 min and 10 min multiple times and it would not relearn my key. when i would try to start the car after doing the 3 cycles every thing would just turn off and when the key went back to the on position it would turn every thing back on. (both reman BCMs do this) It's not the battery as i bought a brand new battery before starting this projected and had a battery charger on the battery for the duration of the relearn. I'm so confused :confused: and have tired every thing I can think of if any of you can recommend any thing it would be very much appreciated as cardone has been of very little help. Also i forgot to mention cardone says I should be doing a 10 min on 5 sec off but every thing iv read from gm says i should be doing a 10 min on 10 sec off or a 30min on 10 sec off i have tryed all. I'm so confused :confused:. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

You can't just swap a BCM, they need to be programmed to the car with a Tech2 scanner.

Might have to suck up the cost of bringing it in.
