RE: Adding an Alarm

you would have better luck and also time saved to just get a aftermarket alarm system for your car. would also becheaper if you were thinking of having it installed

RE: Adding an Alarm

I bought a Viper 791x for mine off EBay, but was able to wire most of it myself. I happen to know an owner of a car stereo shop well and paid him $100 to have his tech finish the install.

Even if you have basic electrical skills or have setup a full car system it is best to bring this in the shop and spring for the install. Mine has all the bell and whistles and costs $500 retail. If your not worried about security as I am, you can get a lower end one such as the car has for $200 to $400 installed.

Check your local Best Buy for it. Their salespeople might not be the brightest (no offense to anyone) but their Viper stereo techs have to goto a special school for this installation.
