ABS Module Question

I am in need of a ABS module (EBCM) for a 2003 Monte Carlo SS. I sent mine that was giving me code 1218 to ABS Fixer and they sent it back saying it is not repairable.

I am having a hard time finding a used one. I was wondering if anyone knows if any other chevy vehicles have a module that is compatibale with the MC SS? I talked with a guy who said he found one in Colorado that is out of an '02 Impala but is compatibale with the MC SS. The problem is he is unable to give me a part number. He said is system is telling him that it will work. Any thoughts on this?

Thanks

Just guessing (you would have to validate part numbers), but the ABS module from '00-'05 Impala should work (as an Impala is almost identical to a Monte in many ways). Also, '00-'05 non-SS Montes.
You may want to check the interchange information with a parts store as well, they may be able to tell you what cars that unit fits (I believe O'reillys can do that online).

FYI - I'm not sure I've ever heard of an EBCM failing on a GM (I thought I had one once and turned out to be a bad wire). I did a google search on your code and came up to the thread below where a guy found a bad ground on his Impala:
