'92-ish corsica fuel pume & sending unit- same as 5th gen monte?

hey everybody, i have been driving my monte a lil, but its a PAIN not having a working fuel gauge, lol, one minute its "full", the next im supposidly on fumes.... as im pulling out of the gas station! then its back to full, ect, ect, lol.

our tech shop has a 92-ish chevy corsica, its REALLY horrible, and is going to the crusher sometime before summer. i know it has the early-er style of the 3.1 v6, with a diffirint intake manifold, and i was wondering if the fuel sending unit/ fuel pump is the same as my 5th gen (1997) with the 3.1 v6.

i figure if its the same, ill see about getting the sender out of the corsica before its crushed, instead of a $400-$600 + new unit.

we had it running, so i know the pump should work, and it actulley has less miles than my car, although it looks like it had a run in with bigfoot, lol

any help is greatly appreciated, thank you in advance
