2004 Supercharged SS cold start noise

Hey I have an issue with my Monte, it started making a noise when I crank it in the morning and I had been having overheating issues also so I took it to a shop and the said it was the head gaskets. I already knew this could be an issue so I told them to fix it. They told me the heads were cracked and had to be replaced and I figured that was the issue with the noise too. So I had them replaced also. Well after 2 weeks of it being in the shop I get it back and... the noise is still there. It sounds to me like a clacking noise and it goes away after the engine gets to operating temperature.
Has anyone had this issue before?

Thanks!

Most likely a worn coupler between the snout and the supercharger. Some good info here. Diagnosing Problems

First thing I haven’t been able to look at the codes so bare with me here.
With what you said about the supercharger nose coupler, would that cause the car to run horrible during these cold starts? I don’t drive it until it warms up but it idles really bad. The check engine light flashed and went away also.
When I had the head gaskets replaced they also replaced my spark plugs.
Thanks for your reply!

The supercharger coupler thing should NOT affect performance.. I had to replace mine and it was rattling around pretty bad, never had any performance issues tho.

Agreed ^^^ A noisy coupler will make more noise when the engine is cold but should not effect performance.
