I have a severe coolant leak which appears to be coming from behind the harmonic balancer (damper). Coolant comes out almost as fast as it goes in. It's not the by-pass L's or the water pump. Could the water pump housing have a hole in it?

 

Have you checked the weep hole that is on the water pump underneath the pully? If a water pump is going to fail it will port water out of that hole.

 

It could very well be the water pump/gasket

 

Could be, could be alot of things though.
