I thought I had a battery issue but it turned out that when someone installed my 6 disc CD changer, it was always drawing power from somewhere and that was killing my battery. When I got it rewired, no battery prob any more.

i have had 2 batteries go on me in the last 3 months. i have an aftermaket radio, amps, a cap, and my headlight switch when bad also not sure if any are related but who knows

You might want to check the head unit and other wiring to see if you are getting the same issue.

Some tricks I learned from an old school mechanic to check for a dead cell.........however they will only work with a battery with removable caps,which are pretty rare anymore.
1. Remove the caps and shine a flashlight into the holes.A good cell will be crystal clear.A bad cell will look cloudy and milky.
2.Have someone crank the engine while you look into the battery.A bad cell will bubble and boil.under the cranking load.The good cells may bubble a tiny bit,but the bad one will really "cook".
