2000 LS Shifting Issue

I have a 2000 LS and it seems that the torque converter starting to have issues. Whenever the car is about to shift into OD the rpms shoot up a couple hundred. If I'm casually accelerating (like around 45-50 mph) the rpms will drop slightly before it's supposed to shift, but once it gets to where it's supposed to shift the rpms shoot up. I'm wondering if it's something failing in the torque converter (maybe a solenoid or something?) and if it's something that would require taking the car to a shop to get taken care of. I don't have any experience working on a transmission (done a lot of suspension and engine work). The car also has 227,000 miles on it so I'm not really wanting to dump a ton of money in it, although there isn't anything else wrong with it (I've taken pretty good care of it).

I was looking around online and found this video on YouTube which probably will give a better idea of what I'm trying to explain (not my car obviously but exactly what mine's doing at the same speed).

Thanks in advance for any responses.

I am having the exact same issue can someone please answer this . Mine is an 06 LS and won't shift unless I let off the gas and thinks 4th is a reasonable gear to do 20-30 in.
