i agre with chibiblacksheep if just one sensor woas replaced the other will throw the code. to be on the safe side i will replace both the front o2 sensor befor the cat and the back sensor just behind the cat to just make sure that both are new and wont throw a code. my dads 94 cugar has 350k miles on it runs fine other than rutene maintenence on it. a person cant say the causts are high compared to a car payment. having a car payment and having huge bill to fix it will be worse. due to some warrentys dont cover majority of the caughsts of any body to break repair and exaughst repair. gm's v6 engins like the 3800 and the 3400 type of engins rock expecially when they have the same miles you have on yours. what i am saying is dont nock a paid off car for maintenence it is cheaper to repair a paid off car then having a car not on it and still have to fix it if the warrenty is up or the warrenty covers certan things. please dont be up set when things seem to fall back to back in away

Eh, not always the case. I've gotten away with replacing just one O2 sensor. But, in defense of the replacing both, I believe the manufacturer (both of the O2 sensor and the different cars on the road) will tell you replace both every so many miles).

I assume the O2 sensors were factory. To be honest, 180,000 is not bad at all. Like I said earlier, all manufacturers have a recommended interval to change the O2 sensors (due to degrading from age and these ones are "heated" O2 sensors, so the elements due wear out). But it sounds like you're on the right road to coming out of winter. I'd say get that other O2 sensor changed ASAP and hopefully that puts an end to the issues for a while.
But when the weather gets nicer again, you may want to look at refreshing some suspension parts (shocks/struts/bushings, especially if it's all still factory original equipment).
