    Can anyone help me out? I have a 1st generation Monte Carlo with a 402 Big Block. I was given the vehicle by my Old Man, he stated that it was a matching numbers car. The engine stamp on the block is 3999290. On other forums I have seen that this is meant for trucks as well as 1972 402 Monte Carlos. Mine is a 1970. Since the Monte Carlo 1st Generation had the same power plant would mine have come with that same vehicle id even if its a 1970.

    Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
