i have a 1998 monte carlo my security light is flashing and it wont start the security light have been going on and off for a while now but ran fine every once and a while it wouldnt start but couple mins later it did could anyone tell me whats wrong

The Vehicle Anti Theft System is acting up. You need to either bypass it or replace your ignition switch and key.
