A few important items to mention...

(1) The Meet start time is now 9:30am
(2) The Heritage Center Tour will begin at 3pm - we will leave Belle Isle at 2pm
(3) Our exact location in Belle Isle Park will be at Sunset Point - the very west tip of the Park
(4) We will now be awarding top-5 Montes
(5) We will now be handing out dash plaques and goodie bags to the first 35 Montes registered

WE ARE POSTPONING THE SPRING MEET TO SATURDAY, JULY 14 due to unforeseen circumstances with rain in the forecast this weekend. Please mark your calendars with the make-up date! I hate to do it but I just don’t want us to be miserable in any rain. I will be updating the event information. Our Club’s Heritage Center tour is still on for this Saturday – see next paragraph.

WE NEED A MINIMUM OF 30 PEOPLE SO WHETHER YOU PRE-PAID OR NOT I’M ASKING EVERYONE TO PLEASE ATTEND! GMHC ADDRESS: 6400 CENTER DR, STERLING HEIGHTS, MI 48312. A FEW TRAFFIC FYIs – I-696 WESTBOUND, BETWEEN I-94 AND I-75, IS CLOSED AND, IF HEADING NORTH FROM I-696, TAKE RYAN OR VAN DYKE – MOUND IS IN BAD CONDITION. AFTER THE TOUR, WE WOULD LIKE TO HAVE EVERYONE OUT TO DINNER AT BUDDY’S PIZZA ($ COVERED INDIVIDUALLY).

Meet is free and open to Club members and non-members. $16 annual park pass to enter park (or $9 daily for non-residents).

To register, you must email michiganmontecarloclub@gmail.com, subject 'Register', with (1) your name and (2) car info (year, color, etc). First 35 Montes registered receive a dash plaque and goodie bag. Awards to top-5 Montes.

 

3 days!

We currently have 31 Montes registered which would be our largest Meet attendance ever. Remember – even if you don’t register you can still show up to the Meet. First 35 Montes registered, or that show up, receive an event dash plaque. Awards to top-5 Montes as voted on by participants. Large and x-large Club t-shirts will be for sale for $20 ea. Previous Meet dash plaques, from the last two Meets, will be for sale for $1 ea. If you would like to bring food, snacks or drinks to share, please do! Alcohol is not permitted in the Park.

See map below for Meet location – Sunset Point. Upon your arrival, please park nose-in (nose facing curb) in any spot within the orange cones. Also, please check-in with me to pick-up your dash plaque, window placard and voting ballot. Follow voting instructions on your voting ballot.

5:00 am - Belle Isle opens
9:30 am - Meet begins
11:00 am - Voting period begins
2:00 pm - Voting period ends (have ballots turned in by)
2:30 pm - Awards ceremony
3:00 pm - Meet ends

 

I am sad to say I cannot make this meet
Been a while since I paid the MMCC crew a visit. Sometime soon I need to get out that way.

 

Yes it's been at least a couple years I think. Maybe something later this year will work for you. Still don't have info for the Fall Meet but I'll post when that's figured out.
