This year ... I'm finally heading "solo" to the northwest US, starting with stops in PA and along parts of Route 66 ... a LONG haul in ~2 weeks!

If you're interested in meeting up along the way, please let me know ... it is always cool to meet new people and see old friends.


My regrets include...
...no time to stop at RT 66 places in Arizona & southern California, and
...not enough time to spend in the northwest US.

HOWEVER:
I can always return to those and other areas in future years ... and I have great memories of the northwest US during family road trips in 1985 and 1991 (3 pics below)....

Well now this sounds like a fun trip your going to be undertaking. Perhaps I would be able to find time to intercept you as you pass through Salt Lake City. Would be nice to meet someone from the Monte Carlo Forum. I might even tag along for 80 miles or so with you to Wendover, Nevada. Cool place for us Utahns to do some gambling and get 5% beer. All they sell here in the stores is the 3.2%, but they are looking out for us so we dont get to plastered. But lets see what we can make of this, looks like your stopping by to see someone else while your here too. If this other 7th Gen. 900 WHP Monte Carlo is still here, I will take you over to see it too. It is due to be shipped back out to Michigan relatively soon when the build is complete and the shake down cruise is completed. Let's try and link up I reckon.........

Enjoy! Wifey and I did the Mother Road trip from Oatman Az. to Chicago Il. We had to drive out to Tucson from Mich first to see family. So we took 66 back home

Best part was joining 4 corvettes in the New Mexico desert and setting our cruise controls to 110 MPH!

Sounds like a plan to me! Would be great to meet you...and have you tag along for the early morning drive. I really want to see that sunrise!!!



And, Tadcaster ... I did the full Route 66 journey, September 2009. Simply AWESOME.

After a frustrating/nerve-wracking week (death of a good friend and dealing with my primary care doctor and cardiologist), this road trip IS A GO!

The CT Scan (heart/chest) ordered by my cardiologist CAN wait until July, AFTER my road trip! The test (for which I have to take pre-meds due to my kidney issues) was originally scheduled for October, but after my EGD on June 3, this was moved to "ASAP" status..... My May 2011 cardiology checkup revealed I have an enlarged heart and am now pacemaker dependent...along with issues starting to develop with my pig's valve (installed January 6, 2003)....



I hope to see MANY of you along the way. The best way to reach me now (since I do not know when I'll have online access during the trip) is my cell phone ... call or text (preferably CALL)...:
