Thumbs up Reputation System

I know I'm a noob, but maybe you guys will like this idea.

How about a reputation system? This is vBulletin so I know it's an option for the owner/admin to turn on.
Basically, if someone makes a quality or helpful post, you can give them rep. If someone makes a crap post (Usually flaming or just acting like a total moron), you can give negative rep. It can also be a useful tool for new members to look at and know who are the top guys to listen to and not.

I like the idea. We just recently got the new os and have yet to explore it all. maybe one of the mods can talk to patrick to see what he thinks.

We just recently got a much needed server upgrade. Im sure there is an option for reputation but we are still learning the basics of the new server. We couldnt even post our signature pics until recently. Its coming along tho. BTW nice preludes. Do you have alot of mods done to them?

rep systems just turn into popularity contests- they're pretty pointless. no offense to op.

Not only that, but all the new people that just post questions and don't bother searching for answers first, we usually yell at to search.

They would probably just flame our reputations for not wanting to answer the same questions 1000x

ya thats very true.

i actually dont think we need rep. reason being, people on here generally only reply to a thread that they know what they are talking about, GENERALLY. If someone doesnt know what they are talking about in a reply, someone always corrects them. seen that a million times on here.
