Just changed rear pads 2000 SS it was a little rough but not too bad compressing piston on one side, but the next was a real task, then I found out you need a special tool which rotates the piston
so do you think I damaged anything? Brakes work great/

Dumb mistake!

Nope youre good.. All that tool is, is convenience.. Anything that gets the piston back in place without damaging anything is fine. C-clamps and a piece of wood are my go to..

Yep, same here.

Everyone is right, you are all good.
But I want to point something out. I have seen two style of caliper pistons:
- Ones that push in and out
- Ones that twist in and out

These Montes push, no twist. So pushing the piston back in with a simple c-clamp is fine, no "special" tools required.
