ok got a new deck today hopefully installing it tomorrow i know how to do most of it but the harness part lol what all do i have to do and how do i know which wires to do it to

 

What deck did you get? Did you get the door chime harness?

It's simple plug and play. The harness will plug into the factory harness on the car, the other wires you will have to connect to the stereo. The wires you will be messing with are the ground/constant 12v/accessory(switched 12v which allows you to turn the stereo on w/o starting up the car), remote(if you have any amps, if not don't worry about it) and the speaker wires of course. It's a piece of cake, if you mess it up, you must promptly turn over your keys to me as you are not fit to be a Monte owner[8D]

To connect the harness to the stereo harness, you can either solder them together(the best way) or you can use splice connectors and a pair of crimpers to join them. You can't hook it up wrong unless you can't read and/or follow directions cause the package the harness is in will tell you exactly which wires to connect.

 

04 did you put a fater market head unit in your car yet?

Was wondering if you ended up getting the harnes for your steering wheel controlls?

I am looking at gettign that harnes you never really miss them till they are gone LOL
