Will it FIT? 79-80 Interior
 

I'm looking to upgrade my dash in my 79' Monte, does anyone know if a dash from another Monte year model will fit into my 1979? This will be my first attempt at installing a dash so I need all the help I can get.

I do believe that you can put the 80 - 88 MC dashes in our 3rd gen MC's. I saw one guy do it and from what I can remember it was mostly bolt in too. Check out MonteCarloSS.com they're a better forum for 4th gen Monte's and they're getting better for the 3rd gens as there are a few things similar. I've been a member over there since 03 and I have never seen any fights or drame there. Very nice group of people with a lot of nice cars and knowledge of our cars.

my uncle has a 79 monte with 84 monte ss dash, seats, and shifter on the floor. i def like the shifter on the floor more.
