Wheelskin Installed

I finally made the time yesterday afternoon to install the Wheelskin steering wheel cover. The two-tone charcoal/black blends nicely with the rest of the interior, and looks 1000% better than the original wheel. I know some of you feel that they are a bit expensive, but the quality of craftmanship more than makes up for the price. I have no doubt that it will provide years of service.

That was an interesting color combination for owning a white car. It looks really nice!

Thanks everyone. :)

I requested some color samples prior to placing my order, and the charcoal seemed to blend in the best. It's the closest match to the color of the headliner, and goes well with the ebony/black interior. The gray was too light, and white just looked out of place. I suppose I could have gone with a single color (black) but I like contrast the two-tone design offers. It's just another one of those subtle changes that makes my Monte a bit different and personalized.

As far as 'what's next'...I've been looking at wheels and tires for a couple of months - and the tread on my tires is getting low - so that will probably be the next major investment. ;)

I put the white/black on my parents' White 06 SS. So I would have assumed you would go the same route, but that does look very subtle. It almost looks like it could have come that way, which is nice!

Yep, a subtle change is what I was going after. It's not so much of a change that it's blatantly obvious, but it makes people take a second glance to try and figure out what's different. ;)

03SSLE - You could try and do a imitation Pace Car, two-tone pewter and black interior like I've been doing ;)
I've been using interior pieces from pewter interior Montes to swap into mine. Best part, the color is in the dye used to make the plastic pieces. I've successfully painted plastic in the past, but sometimes it's nice to just have the color in the plastic.
