Default Using High Level Input on amp!

Ok guys so im installing a 4 channel amp into my brothers Cruze and im having a hard time figuring out how to use the high level inputs. The amp is the Dual XPA4640. On the top it says high level in with 4 ch and 3ch with the input for the high level connector. But below it there is another connector for the high level input and it says 2ch 1ch. Ive never really installed an amp using the high level input so im confused on how it should be done. The amp will be power all 4 speakers up front and the 2 6x9's in the back.

If the head unit has (low level) RCA output use the low level input on the amp. If you have to use the high level input connect the speaker output wires of the head unit to the high level input of the amp observing polarity.

Then connect the speaker output wires of the head unit to the high level input of the amp.

Basically what you need to do is tap into the existing speaker wires (that's what he is doing with the wires behind the kick panel) so you can wire them through the amp. He's cutting the wire in half, then running the section coming from the head unit to the high level input of the amp. Then the section going to the speaker is connected to the speaker output terminal of the amp. Refer to the color code diagram he shows if your car is the same year/model otherwise you will need to get a diagram showing the color connections for your vehicle.

Im confused though at that part. He cuts the wires then crimps the front 2 with wires going to the back for the high level. How do the front speakers still work then?

Oh wait hold on, ok i think im starting to get it. So where it plugs into the master switch, he is cutting it into 2 taking the top 2 wires that came down into the switch and using them for the high level, then using the wires that are still in the switch to power the speakers?

Also in the video he was using a 2 channel amp and im using a 4. I have 2 high level inputs on mine, so would i also need to tap into the rear speakers aswell?
