I know there is a cable that runs from the shifter to the ignition switch. I don't believe its electrical in nature??

Yea I seen that but it looks to be what locks the ignition and prevents the key from coming out when it's not in park.

Well I got it working...mostly

I got on alldata and looked at pretty much every single electrical connector on the car. I did find that p and c signal wires from the transmission looked like they might work. And well the c signal wire worked perfectly all except it also sends a ground signal when the shifter is in 1st... So there is that issue but it small and I can live with it since I will never have a reason to leave the car in 1st.

For future reference for anyone else that wants to know. Here is a pic from all data on the connector to use and what the wire colors are.
