The yellow top is a deep cycle battery, mostly for boats and rv's. (They are also good as a second battery when pushing a lot of audio equipment)

Long story short, red top is not as powerful as a yellow top, but still very good. Yellow top has higher amps and is a deeper cycle, will last longer.

A red top is a replacement for a standard battery, a yellow top is a deep cycle storage battery, and a blue top is a marine grade deep cycle storage battery.

Red top = lighter battery with stock replacement value. Not the best for Montes because we use up so much electricity.

Also, know that deep cycle batteries generally have a slower response time to current demands. So if you replace your battery with a deep cycle battery, your dimming could actually get slightly worse.

I also run a redtop as my main battery.... its my third one in about 6 months due to the first two having bad cells, but it was covered under warrenty. Great battery otherwise!

Mine is also a red top and I'm very happy with it.
