Red Bowtie Headrest Conversion 6th to 5th Gen

Red Bowtie Headrest conversion:
back in May I was at the U-pull salvage yard and I was able to find a few things. As difficult as parts would be to find It maybe a prudent thing to grab of few items that are in good shape and hang on to them for the future need.
So normally I am just checking the 5th Gen Monte Carlo's and if I see a 6th Gen I usually stop and check them out. I was glad I did on this nice Black MC it had leather interior in it and I was taken back how people will go thru them and tear up the back seats just to find some change. As I took a second glance this one had some nice Red Bowtie Embroidered Headrests in it I liberated them and I did post my find on Social media at which time I got several offers for them none of which even reached $20.00.
So I got to thinking what if I do a conversion on these to my car? The width of the bars are about 1 and a quarter inches wider. So I opened up an old cloth headrest to see how it worked and then I removed the loop bar and then went for the Red bowtie headrest and removed the bar from it.
the headrest is filled with a foam and I just put it back and them put some of the foam in that you put around windows ( non Expanding ) and Wala

Once again you amaze me, you being rewarded by being a junkyard picker. To bad for the cheap skates $20 and still no deal. Obviously it was fate keeping them in your possession for your Monte upgrade. Finding them was pure luck, they have to be so rare, you should have bought a couple lottery tickets that day. What you did with them, the r&d then moving forward with the mod looks so factory. You get 1st place for mod of the month. Great job there amigo.

Look at this ebay listing, you see these before. I think they are rare, may go well with your Monte.

those are pretty cool I have some similar ones that I use on occasion. The issue I have is getting all the stuff to the show so I can make sure it is part of the display. There is a lady and her husband that goes to all the car shows with a Hot Pink dodge Challenger maybe a 73 and her husband has a Chevy pickup that he shows, this gal will bring Wagons and a Pink panther and enough stuff to take up 2 or more spots. I am not sure she needs it all.
