Rearview Mirror problem
 

I have an 04 ls that has a rear view mirror problem. It has the dimmer built into the mirror that makes headlights behind you not as bright. For some reason it will not stay on when it is supposed to be on. You can move the wires connected to the mirror to make it come back on so I assume some of the wires are loose. What would be the best way to tighten the wires up so that feature will work on a more consistent basis?

Well I may have to look into this more now. The dimmer is completely non functional. The reading lamps still work but the little green light will not come on at all. And it is definitely not dimming anymore.

Take off the star screw and remove your mirror. Check the connection. Might be loose if it is tight than no idea how to fix it. Be careful tho I ripped a hole out off my windshield messing with my mirror.

alright thanks ill try that and try to be careful. Definitely hope it is an easy fix. Now that you mention it I did have my windshield replaced not to long ago so it definitely could be a loose connection
