rearview mirror help
 

whats up, the bass from the stock system is causing my rearview mirror to tilt down when it vibrates from the bass. is there a way i can tighten the mirror? thanks

the bass from my Kicker 15" does that to my mirror! lol
it has like a ball joint thingy in the back, you can probably superglue it to hold it in place :thumbsup:

stock system? your mirror shouldnt be doing that.. but what i do.. is i just flip that little lever under the mirror so you can aim it farther down and still look out the back. mine seems to not move down as much when its like that. but im about to just take mine out..

i read that the dale jr cars came with the panasonic system. i have the bass all the way down and it still ends up goin down. i dont have a lever, its the auto dimming mirror. there is a plastic ring that is loose but not sure if that has anything to do with it. ill look some more. thanks tho

oh i didnt know that. but still you dont have subwoofers in there.. so it really shouldnt be moving anywhere. id tighten down the ring. and see what happens. i dont have that style mirror but as far as iknow nothing should be loose up there

yea it has to be that ring that came off ;)

and i doubt the dale jr's had a diff system than the regular SS's or other montes with the amp under the rear deck lol

no it didnt but i found a metal ring that snaps onto the tabs that are hold the ball i jus gota find away to open the metal ring to get it around those tabs. i broke one already trying to jus push it on :(

Im going through the same issue on my 04. does anyone know how to repair that? cause i cant really see whats going on back there. i hit a good enough bump and my mirror goes down... aggravating..
