Radio Help

So I just bought a 2000 Monte Carlo LS from my Grandma. It was my uncle's and he took great care of it. I just got paid and I am going to upgrade the Speakers and head unit. After lots of research, I still don't know what I am going to need to install all of this, so I came here.

This is what I am going to put into it:

Head unit: http://amzn.to/1Qvvg3d
Front Speakers: http://amzn.to/1Jxxc7l
Rear Speakers: http://amzn.to/1InvvMy

This is all I have in my Amazon cart right now.. I am saving up for a subwoofer and amp to put in within the next 3 months.

So can anyone point me to the wiring harness I am going to need and will I need a dash install kit (such as the one linked below) even tho I am installing a double din head unit?

Install Kit: http://amzn.to/1bFmUpQ

I have legitimently never did this before so if there is anything I will need (even speaker wire) can someone help and tell me.

Footnote: This is my first post on the forum so I hope I put it in the correct area. Thanks in Advance also.

i cant help you on the harnesses needed for your car. as i dont have a 6th gen. but yes, you will still need a dash install kit like you posted. it provides a mounting bracket for the double din, and gives tabs to mount it in the dash. cant just toss a double din in a double din hole and expect it to stick lol.
if your on a budget, you wont technically need speaker wires. just go to that speaker and clip off the factory plug to the stock speaker. leave about 2 inches of wire attached to the plug tho, incase you were to return the stereo to stock if you were to sell, those extra few inches will give you room to splice the plug back into the wiring. but anyways when you trim the plugs off you just splice the new speaker wiring which is just 2 flat spade connectors that will plug into the new speaker.
being as your car is a ls, itll have a pretty basic stereo in it, with no add-on amps from factory, so itll make install alot easier to do

it seems like a overwhelming task but it is do-able in for a novice such as your self. you will need the GMOS-4 by Axxess (most common) wiring harness in order for the headunit to work. This controls the door chime, and all dash message center beeps and such. THERE WILL BE A LOT OF WIRES ON THE HARNESS!! make sure you connect all the correct ones properly for optimal connection. Any run of the mill double din install kit will work, all the necessary hardware will be included. If you search the forum and youtube you will be able to find all the necessary info/videos/pictures in order to complete this task.
