Well, I attempted to get away with running fronts only, no rear fill, and i'm not too sure I like it. My front stage just isn't strong enough and the soundstage isn't high enough for me to be totally happy with it so I am strongly considering going away from my current 3 way active setup and putting my 6x9's back in the loop by installing my components' passive xovers and running the components off them via 2 channels of my 4ch amp and then running the 6x9's off the remaining 2 channels. I love having so much control over the sound by running active off my deck but i'm just not 100% satisfied with how it sounds overall.

Thanks for the compliment on the amp rack, i'm not totally happy with it either but that more a result of my design vs. how it came out. As for the deck install kit, I ordered it from www.humount.com a while ago. They still make them and can even customize them for you too. They're a little pricey in comparison to your regular deck install kits but IMO it's worth every penny!

Thank you! It's my favorite part of my system!

Out of curiosity, and you may have already mentioned it, but did you buy that some where, or make it? And if you bought it, where from and how much?
I appreciate it, it took a long time for me to get everything I wanted/needed, and a long time to get everything made and installed, but in the end it was worth the wait.

I got the deck install kit from www.humount.com for $70

Also, awesome work and a great great looking system you have there
About the only thing I could really get rid of on my keychain is the MagLite flashlight, I honestly don't remember the last time I used that thing. Everything else is used daily...I never even gave that any thought before, thanks for bringing it to my attention. I have already had to replace my ignition cylinder, probably about 1.5yrs ago, don't want to do that again. I already have a q/r on my keychain but I have it connected to my house key, maybe I'll just swap it over to my car key and call it a day. Thanks for the compliment, I worked hard to get the equipment and even harder to get it all installed so it's nice to get a little recognition for it.

I got it from MK Battery, it's their SVR line of automotive car audio batteries. My company is an MK dealer so I got it for dealer cost Having a battery that has dual terminals was a requirement for me as I didn't want to deal with hacking off the oem terminal boots and overloading the top terminals with a bunch of stuff, so the side posts are for the stock connections, top terminals are for any add-on's

That's what I did. I have a q/r for my house key and a q/r for my car key + fob. Works a lot better, and gives a good peace of mind

Wow, that's the ultimate compliment! (Making this thread a sticky)

This is exactly why when I do a project I document it like I do, not to get the recognition but to be looked at as a source of information for those who plan on doing the same but maybe don't feel comfortable for fear of the unknown. I know I wish there was something like this available to me when I decided to do this project...even though I've been putting in my stereo systems since I was a Jr. in high school, I still get intimidated at times and am a little hesitant so I can imagine how someone feels who doesn't have the experience under their belt.

LOL. You love my detailing pics don't ya?! I haven't done any lately but I need to do mine, and have one on a Dodge Durango coming up soon so we'll see how it works out. I know on my car it's tough to pickup the swirls since my car is white, the swirls usually get whitewashed in pics since direct light is involved, but I'll see what I can do.

Thank you. I really wanna do a custom trim panel so it looks like my subs are behind a wall instead of just a box thrown on the back of my trunk....stay tuned!
