How do I install new speakers?
I am tired of my speakers sounding bleh (probably blown by previous owner). I bought some new speakers that will be here in a couple days. They are nothing fancy or expensive. What do I need to install them? I saw some thing about a GM harness, is this something I need? If so, would I need it for the door and rear speakers? I have no idea what I am doing in that aspect.
Getting to the speakers to replace them seems difficult, but there seems to be a few guides posted here, so I shoild be able to struggle through that (I hope).
Is there anything I should know or do?
Thank you in advance

Most factory speakers use a connector and your aftermarket speakers use blade connection. Some people cut the factory connector and solder the factory wires to new speakers.
Honestly, there is no reason to do that. Cruthfield, Amazon, Best Buy, local audio shops, sell adapters to go from the car wiring to any aftermarket speaker. Spend a few extra bucks and get the adapters. It helps keep the install clean and if you aver go to sell the car or change the speakers, it will be easy to do again.
