Default Power Acoustik Amps, Good or Bad?

I just got an Alpine type x 10, 1042d and need an amp that will do 1000 RMS. I came across this Power Acoustik RZ1-2300D (rz12300d) Monoblock RAZOR Class D Car Amp. I can get it for 158 shipped to my door. Cant really find reviews on their stuff so i cant really tell if its good or not. What do you guys think

Money kind of talks when it comes to car audio, although sometimes this is not the case.

If you tune the amp right you shouldn't have any trouble with it ruining a sub or similar. You just have to worry about the build quality of the amp the the longevity of it's life.

Personally I've heard of Power Acoustik, I haven't really heard of anything bad about them, but I don't know how accurate their power numbers are.

If they have a warranty I say try it out... if not, save a bit more and get a better amp.

Not a proven performer, very low cost equals very low quality.

I'd pass on that one. Spend a bit more money and get a Rockford Fosgate Punch Series amp...Best bang for the buck in my experience.

I saw your other post about an M1000 for 190. But a M1000 for 130 is awesome. I had a few alpine M500s and F300s...amazing amps..

For the record, I've used a few Power Acoustik amps.

The RMS ratings are less than 1/2 the rated power listed in the manual.
They are not a CEA certified amp.

Nice score on the Alpine.

My suggestion was going to be something from Maxxsonics, which would really be a Hifonics or MB Quart, one with a CEA certified rating.

The Hifonics Gladiators come in a 1500watt version for less than $150.

Excellent score on the Alpine! I am still running an old Alpine MRV-F401 to power my main speakers...
