Needs help with wiring a radio.
So i just bought a Kenwood DDX318 radio from crutchfield and they gave very good instructions until it got down to wiring.
iv got the GM VT-GMOS-04 kit, GM dash kit, and the GM antenna adapter. This is my first time with this sort of stuff so even the basic help is appreciated. |
Since there have been no replies yet, i added some photos to help show what im needing to do.

So what's your question?
|
the wires are all basically labeled, so what are you asking?
|
Well i cant match up some of the labeled wires because the colors dont match the wires coming from the harness and Interface. And i cant seem to find anything that tells me what the wires coming from the Interface do.
Problem- I cant seem to figure out where the steering wheel remote imput connects to in the harness. I would like to retain that ability. There is a green wire and a green(purple) wire coming from the interface that i have also no clue where they connect I cant find where the pwk SW wire connects to in the harness either. (On the radio it has a female end, but they gave me a single wire with one side that has the male end) |
One of those green wires is the parking break wire. Probably the all green one. You can run a relay with it so you can watch movies while driving. Or music videos.
