Might be getting a touch Screen Headunit.
 

my son thinks he needs a touch screen style headunit for his 2001 ss, whats the best brand and size that other people have in theres? he has subs but they are taped into his rear speakers, if we put an aftermarket in would it still run off just the bass dial like it does now or would we have to wire them to the headunit?

Also when the tire pressure or anything come up in the message center how would we be able to shut that off without the stock headunit?

Ive got a Pioneer AVH P43000 in mine, if you run an amp with the subs u can wire it on its own line in the rear of the head unit & as far as resetting lights theres lil tricks to doin that with the headlight switch itll be in the owners manual

how much did ur headunit cost and do you have a link so i can take a look at it? he wants one that will fit perfectly in the opening where the radio is at right now with no gaps or open areas.

that's not bad looking, he has to build up some money it looks like though. he looked at the one that was forsell in the for sale section on here i dont remember who had it for sale and he liked it.

he is trying to talk me into buying him the beats system out of the new chrysler 300s

yea, if he could find a nice one for 350-400 then he would probably get it, but he is wanting the beats by dr.dre speaker for it now which are expensive as well.

Yeah they are, i nvr buy the nxt big thing to come out im still looking for a nice set of speakers for mine just havnt found the ones i want yet

get the beats, i work at a chrysler dealership and get a huge discount on them. they have a 552-watt amp, 10 speakers and a sub.

Whats that run in price & i wouldnt need a sub ive got 2 12s in mine already
