As for the hot glue, hopefully it will hold and if not, dis-assemble and try again (2-part epoxy is my favorite).
Thanks! No original bulbs, just the leds you see there.

I do like epoxy, just none on hand right now.

Keeping it coming today..

I made this plastic insert and covered it in black vinly to complete the blacked out look as well as helping hold everything together. I have everything glued in right now so there is no going back! I have no idea what I would do if a LED burned out I can't think of a better way to hold it all in there besides a whole bunch of glue!

A little update here. I took the light out to my car today in the freezing weather to try and hook it up for a test. I'm having a little problems with the brake light function and some circuitry problem. This circuit stuff can get confusing! Hopefully I can sort that out, but here are some pics for now.

LED left, stock right. You can tell how much of a difference adding that black vinyl to the insides helped darken it. It almost looks tinted

Camera really blurs the lights to hell. Looks much better in person


Waiting on some more parts to start the second light. Might break into it yet today though. I would really like to finish these before next weekend and before I go back to school.
