Jaws2008 Chrysler 300 Build
Hi Everyone I know some of you wanted to see how or know what was going to happen to my system for the 300... Well Ill show you what I have so far and its plans...
Okay well the first thing I did before anything was test fit the box as that's the main thing and everything else revolves around it... http://i1128.photobucket.com/albums/...o/IMG_0967.jpg http://i1128.photobucket.com/albums/...o/IMG_0965.jpg Then after thinking, and planing. I started to lay my dynomat in the trunk.. http://i1128.photobucket.com/albums/...o/IMG_0969.jpg http://i1128.photobucket.com/albums/...o/IMG_0975.jpg Then I made a plan layout for the amps.. Test fit.. http://i1128.photobucket.com/albums/...o/IMG_0981.jpg http://i1128.photobucket.com/albums/...o/IMG_0983.jpg Then I started to lay the frame with wood.. http://i1128.photobucket.com/albums/...o/IMG_0999.jpg http://i1128.photobucket.com/albums/...o/IMG_1002.jpg http://i1128.photobucket.com/albums/...o/IMG_1004.jpg Thats what I have for now. When all done. all the wood as well as the box will be painted black.. im going for as glossy black as I can get.. black like one of those shiny glossy pianos. |

let me ask you a question. ive listneed to ALLOT of gear. so i can be very helpful and helping you pick what brands to run, idk if you wanna run infiniti, its one of those brands if youd ont like a type of playin your not gonna like them, some people dont like focal tonality's perosnly. i love em though.
infinitis are well knowen for the brigtness out of their speakers, the highers are VERY bright. you may be regretting that high end. strange setup too, must have dash mounted speaker. this kind of setup allows you to do allot. i highly suggest a wide band driver in their  run no tweeters. their are tons out their, allot of them are pretty top end, but their are a few in the lower price bracket. this is a great option right here =- Tang Band W3-1878 3" Full Range Driver 264-902 and you can go tweeterless or not with them they play high enough, it depedns hwo you like your music, ive never heard a tweeterless system i liked but to each their own. we were talking about fiberglassing help in return for you helping my trunk build. get me some pictures of the dash and i'll tell you what options you have. might be able to fiberglass pods to the dash depending hwo its designed, if its one large dash peice of their are sectors for your speakers. i should be able to tell from a picture. i mean you cna always build pods..but it'd be a bitch if it was one piece. the reason you wanna do this is for better axis for the drivers  when you aim them up off a dash like a standard dash mid range, their are allota reflections which can give center image distortions and phantom center image presentation where it waddles around your dash for no apparent reason. |
Looks great so far. I've always wanted to put an amp rack in the spare tire cavity, but I'm too scared of getting a flat :p

Well the wiring is almost done.. I have the dash speakers in and hooked up. all I have to do is get wires ran for the head unit.. i.e. the gps wire, mic for phone, push to talk button, ipod cable and a few things on the wiring harness. Then just hook up the main power to the fuse block. Pop the head unit in and test... At that time only the 3.5" dash speakers should play. And will then tune the amps and head unit with the SMD DD-1. After that its just a matter of swapping out the door speakers and the rear deck speakers.
After all that I will focus back on the sub and how the sub box will either painted or if I can get my black sued cover to fit. |
