Will tbe 6500 6 1/2 fit right in? And after doin some research on polk audio i think im going to go with the models you suggested. I plan to buy 2 sets of the DXI6500 for the front doors and put them in the side panels in the back and get 1 or 2 sets of the DXI 690 and put them on the deck. My question is what would be a good amp to them without blowing them?

I prefer:

MTX.....I went to Mickey Shores in roseville mi. (I know the owner)

MTX happen to be there with 1 of there demo Vehicles...
When I was talking with them about there audio components and systems...

I was immediastely hooked....Talk about reliability! I have had this system in My 1999 MonteCarlo Z-34 since day 1 that I bought it from the Dealer!

Thats 13 yrs! Now of undeniable reliability! It still sounds as crystal clear as it did when it was instahled!
Includeing MTX building a custom box for the subs...And still have plenty of room in the trunk for the mrs to go grocery shopping!

Yes they are 12's!
I have a total of 4000 watts Jammn Daily!!!!
Please also note...How clean they fit the trunk area...!!!
and how the amps fit in the "Passthru" area of the seats!!
Mounted to the sub box!
Talk about a clean instahl!

I have a total of 8 speakers in my Monte...

I have them along with 2 DXI 104DVC subwoofers and it sounds phenomenal and the speakers are not even amplified currently. Crutchfield and Sonic are both great sites for great prices also.
Will the 6 1/2 fit in my 06 monte lt doors? And a friend of mine told be to replace my 6x9 with a different size because they will sound better. Do you know what size i can use and which model of the DXI's i should get?

IMO...you need to use what fits and functions properly in that area of the doors and not hack them up to fit something that doesnt normally fit there as it also effects the sound quality....

Good judgement is a must when it comes to sound quality!

Reson i ask and was looking to make that change is because i jave a ton of bass in my trunk and was looking for just vocals from inside the car. I know 6x9 tend to have more bass than other sizes.
