Interior makeover

Hello all!

I've been looking around at peoples' interiors. I've decided I want to do quite a few things to the interior to make it all red and black. My mom thinks it'll be tacky, and my dad says he thinks it'll make me look like a pimp (the bad way).

Things I want to do:
-Red dash and door panels
-Red gauges https://montecarloforum.com/forum/si...me-pics-25376/
-Pioneer AVHP2300-DVD head unit Pioneer AVH-P2300DVD DVD receiver at Crutchfield.com (set to red buttons and screen, ofcourse)
-Red glow under dash and back seat (where driver and pass feet would go, and under the rear seat) Red 4pc LEDGlow LED Interior Lights Lighting Kit
-Red dome and mirror lights.
-Might paint rear speaker covers too

So what do you guys think? Too much? Tacky? Opinions please.

Thanks!
Tyler

Sounds like alot of red, better make sure you do it right, hate to see it peeling and cracking off. Then your in for a mess.

Go for it! I think it will look sweet.

I would definitely take my time and do it right, I'm kindof a perfectionist. I was also thinking a red and black leather steering wheel cover? Anyone have pictures of their custom interiors?

I wouldnt paint too much red. It will look pretty tacky. I have seen peoples interiors where they went all out with the red paint and it looked terrible. I have red and black seat covers and honestly I am sick of looking at them already. I like having red lights in the interior. It looks sick at night but Im not a fan of red panels.

I encourage you to look at my interior pic on cardomain(click the link below the sig pic)

Now that being said going by you car color that maroon would look awesome. If you where to choose a brighter red, it can be very easy to overkill.

The reason I told you to look at my car tho a 5th notice how that bright red is jumping out and could have been a eye sore if I had done more.

I'm all for the red lights tho.

I'm mimicing the 2000 Pace Car, I think that's ENOUGH red.

Wheelskins have nice steering wheel covers that you stitch on.

DO NOT put red in your dome or your mirror lights, trust me. THEY DO NOT light the car up well at all. I removed the red dome, and replaced it with a regular 36led light. I haven't swapped my mirror ones back out yet because I've been lazy.

I was gonna say dont do red dome, Ill get a few pics of mine tonight.

I need that steering wheel cover btw. My ghetto driving position has earned me a worn steering wheel top.
