From what I've heard the HID kits are a waste and can melt the plastic casing of the lights. I just got the bulbs off amazon which are a direct factory replacement it was like $22ish for both high and low beams.

I'm friends with a guy who works on police cruisers in the county I live in and I asked him about it. He told me that the kits aren't worth it and that he couldn't give them away. Idk from personal experience but I took his advice and just got the bulbs.

Haha, I would love to see them melt something. I have been running my HIDs for over a year, and they are on all the time. That includes 110* interstate trips and sitting in hot staging lanes. So far there are about 20k miles on them and not one issue, high or low.
I will never buy another set or normal bulbs again. |

Crunk- I have never had a problem after more then a year.
Word up- Just buy a kit for your low beam bulbs and you want have any problems. Just a basic kit from ebay will work fine. They should run you about 30 bucks or so. |
Ive never had a problem with any of the headlights, but have melted a few foglights. My Montes foglight are fine, but I melted a few fog housing on my Sierra.

I've been running Hids for just under a year now and no problems here high or low. I recommend ddmtuning to get your Hids from because they come with a lifetime warranty
