Faulty Scosche harness??

Hey everyone,

I have an '06 E85 powered MC lol. Well, I have replaced the radio with a double din unit. I'm using the scosche GM21SR harness and I believe I might be having issues with it. It periodically makes my radio shut down and I don't understand why. According to the manual, the GM21SR could possibly receive too much juice through the accessory wire which may cause the harness thing to shut down so you have to use a relay to fix the problem. Well, I have the relay in and my radio still doesn't work. If I unplug and reconnect the power to the Scosche unit then my radio will work on the first turn of the ignition. Once I shut it off then it's goes back to shutting my radio down.

My question is, if I run an accessory/switched power from somewhere else, do you think I can avoid this problem? I was thinking maybe I could use the blue/white wire or just run something from the ignition harness. I've used my DMM to find an accessory wire before the factory harnesses but I didn't have any luck. I was just going to extend switched power from before the factory harness directly to the radio in order to skip going through the scosche unit.
