Difference between Hz - khz?

I am shopping around for some front and rear speakers. I am looking at the "frequence response" level because I was told that the lower the better midbass result I will have throughout my car. From what I am seeing on various websites, I see 35hz - 2000khz.... Is that a bad or good response? I am strongly considering putting 8" subs in place of the 6x9's (just a thought...lol)! If anyone could help me I would greatly appreciate it!

The first you posted usually goes for the lows (subs) and hte second you posted goes for the highs. I cant give you an exact explaination, but I know who will... Where is he??

To be as simple as possible, Hz is the unit of frequency measured in cycles per second of a sine wave in audio. The k simply add a multiple of 1000 to that measurement.
