Default Dashboard Cover Piece

I'm probably using the wrong words here, but the piece that sits above the dash and below the window....so....the dashboard cover? Anyway, that piece is separating where the soft top is stuck to the hard plastic. Does anybody have any recommendations for gluing that back down?

First, what year Monte is it?

If it's a 6th or 7th Gen, then you might be referring to that black piece that has the main Defrost vent and light sensor for the headlights in it. Anyway, as for gluing it down, JB Quik works pretty well, since it's a close enough color and is extremely strong. Be careful with it though, since it will smell bad while it's curing and won't come off after it's dry.

A part of the soft portion on my dash has been warped by Texas heat and is being held down by the stuff. Been on there for about a year now, no problems yet..

6th gen. I'm referring to the piece just on the driver's side of the piece you're referring to. The biggest piece up there. It kind of comes to a "V" right where the dash trim piece meets the piece that covers the glove box. The "V" is where I'm getting the separation. I'll probably try the JB Quik. I presume the curing time is more than a couple seconds? I'll probably put a C-clamp on it to hold it down.

I know exactly what ur talking about, it's the top dash piece. it's starting to do it on mine as you can see it sucks. I'm going to just replace it when I find a much better one that isnt peeling . Same thing happened to my previous monte and I just replaced the entire thing cost me $15 at the junkyard lol
