Default Dash board light changes?

Obviously someone has but i couldnt seem to find a thread ... I know i have to pull the dash and get the guages out of the cover and thats fine .... But how would i change the lights from a boring bulb to something cool - im thinking of going for a red led ? Or blue / any suggestions - also how electircal does it get or is it plug and play .... Has anyone seen a thread detailing it ? If not id create one with pictures ect

Here's a thread on how to do it without changing the bulbs : https://montecarloforum.com/forum/fw...me-pics-25376/

Or you can use a soldering gun to heat up the solder on the current bulbs, and swap with an LED

You can find kits for LED bulbs for your dash on Ebay.

I bought a rebuild kit for my Sandy flooded Monte that included new stepper motors and Blue LEDs. I bought extra and did the climate control, door lock switches, windows switched and mirror switch. I haven't yet done the light switch (different setup), traction control, or fog light switch (an addition to the LS).
