Air Unit Failing in 2002 LS
 

Hello all,

I have an issue regarding my interior air unit. For the past few months, the only option that circulates air in the car is 4. 1,2,3, and 5 do not do anything other than make the engine run a bit faster, as if the unit is turning on but air does not come out. AC cooling and heating work fine on 4 and both driver and passenger get air, but I do miss having softer air instead of blasting heat or AC.

Before this, even with the car turned completely off, the air unit would still run even when set to off, causing my car battery to be drained. It no longer does this part.

Sounds like the blower motor resistor went bad. Id test it to be sure before buying new parts.
