Air conditioner need some attention
 

A a year ago I replaced the blower motor resistor and that kept the air cold for a while. However, in the course of the last 3 months the on/off knob needed to be turned on and off or jiggled before the air started to blow. Currently I'm down to only position 2 and only about half the time (it just doesn't come on). Does it sound like the resistor is gone out again or the controls are gone? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Mike

I would guess the switch on the control panel , as you say it does work on occasion when you play with the button. It's been a while but you use to be able to resistor apart and look at the circuit board and see the problem, maybe you can on these also. Good luck

I replaced the climate control unit today and after I installed the new one I noticed that it was a single control instead of a dual control. There is a temperature dial in the middle instead of two levers. All of the connections were the same and it seems to work ok. Do yo think that,s a problem in the long run?
